UV油墨也分好多種，這些油墨往往有特殊的光澤和肌理，有鏡面油墨、磨砂油墨、發(fā)泡油墨、皺紋油墨、錘紋油墨、彩砂油墨、雪花油墨、冰花油墨、珠光油墨、水晶油墨、鐳射油墨等等。我們常見的就是鏡面UV，從字面的意思上能看出，對印刷品某個部位局部UV后，表面像一面鏡子，用手摸上去很光滑，局部UV的地方和印刷品的其它部位相比感覺到有一個明顯的界限，比較有立體感。

過UV所采用的設(shè)備叫UV光固機，原理就是通過紫外光照射來固化UV油墨。局部UV既可在覆膜后實施，也可在印刷品上直接UV，但為了突出局部UV的效果。一般是在印刷品覆膜后進行，且以覆亞膜居多，約占局部UV產(chǎn)品的80%左右。過UV后的印刷品一般很難再回收利用。
